The Creative Assembly is making Belisarius, one of the most capable military minds of his generation, the core character of The Last Roman for those who want to play as the Eastern Romans. The new campaign will give them a chance to play as five factions that are re-designed from the ground up, with new starting locations and unit line-ups. The Last Roman is designed to reflect a new timeframe, which means that various locations are very different from the ones gamers know from the classic Total War: Attila campaign. The focus is on Western Europe in the year 533 AD, with 100 regions and 35 full provinces that gamers can conquer and develop, with a range of unique geographical features based on Italy, Spain, France and North Africa. The development team at The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are preparing for the launch of a new downloadable content for Total War: Attila, called The Last Roman, and the two companies are ready to show fans of the title the campaign map that they will be able to conquer when the new DLC is launched on June 25.
